Nairobi Club is one of the oldest Private Members Club in Kenya established in 1901.

It has an adverse Membership of over 2000, offering exceptional sporting, social and conference facilities.

The Club is inviting applications for the following positions;

1. Internal Auditor

Applicants must be graduates with full CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent backed by at least 3 to 4 years auditing experience. IT skills are absolutely essential for the job.

2. Accountant

Applicants must be graduates in Accounts or Finance with full CPA (K), ACCA OR equivalent backed by at least 3 years professional accounting experience. Applicants must be fully conversant with ERP Systems. Experience in Members Club’s is an added advantage.

3. Credit Controller

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline with a minimum CPA Part 2 /ACCA module 4 or Diploma in Credit Management.

3 to 5 years experience in relatively high volume Credit collection in a Club or Hotel establishment is essential.

Applicants should have knowledge of billing and collections procedure and accounts receivable and must have excellent communications skills.

4. Procurement Officer

Applicants for this position should have a Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management or its equivalent backed by 3 years experience preferably in a Hospitality industry or environment.

Proficiency in computer applications, more specifically Excel and Word is essential. Applicants should be members of the Kenya Institute of Supplies and Management.

Our client a tours and travel firm is looking for Tours and travel Consultant.

Duties and Responsibilities

• give advice on destinations;
• Guide tourist during the contract time
• make arrangements for transportation, hotel accommodations, car rentals, tours, and recreation;
• advise on weather conditions, restaurants, tourist attractions, and recreation;
• provide information on customs regulations, required papers (passports, visas, and certificates of vaccination), and currency exchange rates to the tourists;
• consult published and computer-based sources for information on departure and arrival times, fares, and hotel ratings and accommodations;
• visit hotels, resorts, and restaurants to evaluate comfort, cleanliness, and quality of food and service;

Qualifications

• Diploma in Tours and travel
• Proven 3 plus years of tour guide experience
• Demonstrative strong service and consultative skills
• Demonstrated strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems
• Demonstrated strong verbal, interpersonal and listening skills

Nairobi Java House is a family-oriented restaurant and coffee house based in Nairobi, Kenya.

To support the current operations and continued growth, Nairobi Java House seeks to appoint a General Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager will oversee and ensure the consistent delivery of the highest standards of service and products to Nairobi Java House’s customers through its network of outlets.

Responsibilities:

• Coaching, counselling and developing Leaders at the Departmental and Branch Level to achieve greater sales through delivering the best quality products and service while controlling costs
• Ensuring that all units are in compliance with all local government requirements
• Providing Leadership throughout the company so that each staff member consistently meets Java’s standards of superior customer service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the culture of working in a cheerful and fun working environment
• Coordinating and implementing current operational strategies as well as new company initiatives in a timely and efficient manner
• Accountability for the effective and proper staffing of all units with qualified personnel
• Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, ensuring that there is a continuous, appropriate and effective training programme for all personnel
• Maintaining a safe and secure working environment for all units
• Ensuring that all relevant reports on the units and company are reviewed regularly and appropriate action taken to improve performance
• Working closely with the Operations Director, to will sure that Java are sourcing the highest quality products to meet company standards within acceptable costs
• Working closely with the Human Resources Manager, to ensure that the hiring and recruitment strategy is attracting the best qualified personnel at all levels within the company in a spirit of fairness and transparency
• Working closely with the Food &Beverage Manager, the Group Executive Chef and the Group Head Barista, and operating under agreed SOPs. Working closely with the same team, will continuously review and the menu offerings and look for new and innovative products that fit with the Java Brand
• Working closely with the Managing Director, the candidate will play a key and strategic role in executing new company strategies and growth plans for Nairobi Java House and its subsidiaries.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience working for an international, multi-unit restaurant chain. Five (5) of those years must be in a Senior Management position.
• Experience working in the African market is preferred
• Experience managing a large staff complement of 500+ staff
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Ability to be forward looking and to be a strategic thinker
• Willingness to live and work in Nairobi
