Content Developers Jobs vacancy in Kenya

Position Title: Content Developer (several positions)

Reports to: Deployment Head

Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya

Basic Purpose: To ensure that content for training delivery is created at the stipulated time, cost and quality norms.

Expected End Results: Creation and customization of Content as per the business and people requirement of the region one is operating in.

Major Activities
  • Understand and study the business challenges and the market reality of the region operating in.
  • Should create effective content on Product, Process and Skills for both Sales and CS staff working at different levels.
  • Update one’s knowledge on country’s laws and regulation so as to create content that enables the sales and CS staff to sell products and service clients while complying with the local laws.
  • Get an in-depth understanding of the training requirements of the sales and CS staff so as to create the content accordingly.
  • Have thorough knowledge of the competition, company products, pricing and the industry so as create useful and effective content.
  • Liaise with Sales and CS trainers to get feedback on the training programs conducted so that relevant changes can be made.
  • Construct learning solutions while ensuring quality.
  • Create facilitator and participant guides as well as other training material.
  • Conduct field study as and when required to obtain ground level data.
  • Conducting pilot programs and Training of trainers on the content created
Essential Skills & Knowledge:

Education

The ideal candidate should be in possession of a Post Graduate qualification, preferably an MBA, especially in English Literature/Mass communication from a recognised university

Relevant Experience:

Have a minimum of 8 years experience in operations or training in a medium to large sized organization, preferably in a telecom/FMCG industry.

  • Have strong and creative written communication skills
  • Have proficiency in MS- Office
  • Be a team Player
  • Be strong on logic and analytical ability
  • Possess sound visualization skills
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Have research orientation.

  • Experience in writing, editing, proof-reading for tutorials and technical articles would be added advantage.
  • Ability to explain complex issues in simple language to a broad consumer audience
  • Familiarity with online publishing and active online blogging will be a strong plus

Training Manager - Madison Insurance Career Opportunity Kenya

Reporting to the General Manager – Life Business, the primary responsibility will be to design and implement capacity building programs in line with the corporate strategic objectives and provide solutions that deliver desired behavioural and business changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Periodically carry out training needs assessment to identify training and development needs for the the sales team and other staff and prepare annual training plan.
  • Develop and review the training materials in line with current and future needs.

He/she should have at least five (5) years experience in the field of training including course design, development and adult education/learning styles.

Candidates who have at least five (5) years experience at management level preferably in FMCG or Financial Services Sector will have an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate must demonstrate exemplary working knowledge of current and emerging training tools and learning aids, strong presentation and facilitation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization and planning skills, problem analysis and problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions within the required time frame.

Reporting to the Director, the incumbent will formulate and coordinate the implementation of sound Financial, Human Resource and Administration policies and strategies for effective management of Financial, HR and Administrative activities.

Overall Responsibility
  • Develop effective Financial, HR and Administration policies and strategies to meet the objectives of the service.
  • Initiate and coordinate the Organization’s Development interventions aimed at promoting culture change in Finance, Human Resource and Administration policies.
  • Prepare and implement the annual work plan for Finance, HR and Administration activities.
  • Undertake benchmarking on current developments in HR and Financial Management Practices.

  • Must be member of a relevant professional body i.e. ICPAK
  • Strong computer skills.

The Head of Finance will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Prepares cash flow and balance sheet statements on a monthly basis
  • Conducts bank reconciliation on a monthly basis

  • Keeps track of company income by managing the organization’s financial accounts

Description

We are seeking a minimum two year commitment from an exceptional early career marketing professional to lead marketing strategy, research, campaigns and product launches to ultimately create the foundation of a future international automotive brand – a truly unique opportunity to create impact on a global scale.

The role will require a close working relationship with the venture’s CEO, Automotive Designer, Automotive Engineer, Cost Engineer and future production and strategy teams as well as various international vendors.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Marketing Development
  • Deliver primary and secondary research that helps define market assumptions and consumer behaviours/profiles; research sources may include consumer surveys, focus groups, the internet, industry experts, market intelligence companies and internal knowledge.
  • Develop complete understanding of the factors that go into the revenue and cost side of the business opportunity and provide recommendations to maximise revenue.
  • Collaborate with leadership and future strategy teams to develop and maintain product category SWOT analyses; identify market trends, develop and prioritise a profitable product plan to meet consumer needs.
  • Facilitate future-focused product ideation sessions and capture output for continuous design exploration; develop longer term product category/mix roadmaps based on deep and broad consumer profiling.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams and outside agencies to develop and lead product go to- market strategy and plan.
  • Create data-driven, dynamic, 'voice-of-the-customer' marketing strategies and tests that deliver against Return on Investment (ROI) targets through a segmented customer base across marketing channels.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across TV, print, radio, digital and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc) marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with leadership and external agencies to develop key messaging and specific advertising copy/design/packaging for campaigns across marketing channels; including detailed associated budgets.
  • Facilitate legal review of all advertising copy before launch.
  • Execute local sales and marketing initiatives and develop plans to implement new innovative sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Contribute to comprehensive testing matrix that accurately assesses delivery and performance of each marketing campaign on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain and ensure high levels of data hygiene and integrity with fast-growing, high-volume data capture from market.
  • Manage a future sales team to maintain strong relationships with key strategic customers such as large NGOs, government buyers and high potential individual entrepreneurs.
  • Act as a liaison for all external media enquiries or articles, working with the CEO when necessary to facilitate interviews or other content.
Project Management
  • Take ownership of projects; plan milestones, timelines, budgets, resources and identify potential risks to deliver supply chain aspects within agreed completion dates.
  • Be proactive regarding task completion and periodically advise wider team on project status, timing, resources, issues, and ability to deliver on-time with excellence.
  • Ensure adherence and compliance to general automotive industry marketing standards and best practices; maintain structured and versioned data outputs daily and backup data weekly.
  • Work as an active member of the team, ensure effective communication between colleagues and positively contribute regularly to meetings and briefings.
Qualifications

An ideal candidate should combine outstanding technical skills in marketing with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

They should possess a strong skill set in creative and strategic thinking along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and take initiative regularly. They should be rigorous, pragmatic and on the-ground solution focussed – not overly academic.

Required
  • Bachelors Degree (minimum) in Business, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, Communications, Economics or similar
  • 3.4 GPA or higher from a top university worldwide
  • 1-2 years related experience in marketing, advertising or branding
