Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of Chief General Supply Unit the incumbent will be responsible for duties and responsibilities as following:
· Receive, Inspect, Store and Label supply items. Secure & safeguard the items in a safe location / warehouse;
· Use the computerized warehousing system (Galileo) to analyze stock history data in order to maintain an efficient and reliable automated inventory-stock control system. Review stock records; Prepare reports, related to inventory, stock control, and warehouse activities. Prepare the Issue Vouchers, Handover Vouchers and Return Vouchers in the computerized system.
· Maintaining stock levels, inform Chief General Supply Unit regarding the status of stock levels in the warehouse;
· Assist to the Chief General Supply Unit in performing of periodic physical inspection of assets in Unit Stock and assets issued to various users;
· Initiate physical inspections ensuring that items are properly stored, rotated and disposed effectively;
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief General Supply Unit.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent diploma plus certification/diploma or other supplemental academic qualifications or training is required.
Work Experience:
At least 5 year experience in areas of logistics, including at least 3 year experience in inventory management and warehouse procedures and practices.
Languages:
Fluency in spoken and written English or Arabic; knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.
Other Desirable Skills:
Good knowledge in using MS Office (Word, Access, and Excel Sheet) is desirable.

Responsibilities:
This post is located in the Travel Unit in Human Resources Section. The incumbent reports to the Chief, Civilian Personnel Officer. The incumbent performs the following duties:
1. Travel authorizations:
a) Review and verify to ensure conformity with applicable rules;
b) Work out advances/subsistence for staff members;
c) Complete quotation forms and forward to Travel Agents;
d) Check fare constructions on all tickets issued by the Travel Agents;
e) Ascertain that fare quotations given by the Travel Agents are for the most direct and economical routes;
f) Draft faxes, Memos or e-mails to travel agencies and other UN offices for issuance of tickets and Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) to travelers.
2. Travel Agents Invoices and tickets:
a) Checking on irregularities on invoices, tickets e.g. working out cost-saving itineraries and flight connections;
b) Drafting notes on queries on invoices, tickets.
3. Travel Queries:
a) Answering queries from staff members regarding their travel eg MoPs;
4. Handling Hotel booking and keeping records of tickets MoPs issued.
5. Carry out other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general supervision of the Chief, Spanish Language Unit, the incumbent will:

1. Translate, subject to revision, documents covering a broad range of subjects dealt with by the United Nations, i.e., political, social legal, economic, financial, administrative, scientific and technical.

2. Identify new terminology material.

3. Consult different sources to widen knowledge of subject matters.

4. Perform other related duties as required.
Core Competencies:

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Work Experience:
At least two years of translation experience with the United Nations.
Languages:
A perfect command of Spanish and an excellent knowledge of at least two other official languages, as tested by the United Nations competitive examination for Spanish translators.
Other Desirable Skills:
Knowledge of other languages, official and non-official, is desirable. Familiarity with terminology databases and knowledge of relevant computer software including word-processing programs.
