Responsibilities: |
Under the overall supervision of Chief General Supply Unit the incumbent will be responsible for duties and responsibilities as following: · Receive, Inspect, Store and Label supply items. Secure & safeguard the items in a safe location / warehouse; · Use the computerized warehousing system (Galileo) to analyze stock history data in order to maintain an efficient and reliable automated inventory-stock control system. Review stock records; Prepare reports, related to inventory, stock control, and warehouse activities. Prepare the Issue Vouchers, Handover Vouchers and Return Vouchers in the computerized system. · Maintaining stock levels, inform Chief General Supply Unit regarding the status of stock levels in the warehouse; · Assist to the Chief General Supply Unit in performing of periodic physical inspection of assets in Unit Stock and assets issued to various users; · Initiate physical inspections ensuring that items are properly stored, rotated and disposed effectively; · Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief General Supply Unit. |

QUALIFICATIONS |
Education: |
High school diploma or equivalent diploma plus certification/diploma or other supplemental academic qualifications or training is required. |
Work Experience: |
At least 5 year experience in areas of logistics, including at least 3 year experience in inventory management and warehouse procedures and practices. |
Languages: |
Fluency in spoken and written English or Arabic; knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage. |
Other Desirable Skills: |
Good knowledge in using MS Office (Word, Access, and Excel Sheet) is desirable. |
